Summary
Hydrolytic enzymes are used in medicine by oral application in various indications. Their intestinal absorption has been proven. They act as 'biological response modifiers' by using different mechanisms, especially by modulating the immune system. Combination enzyme preparations have better effects than single enzymes. Enzyme preparations are excellently tolerated and very safe.
